Main
features of the NET project
NET Line 1 comprises 14 km of track, 23 tramstops and 5 Park and Rides on a route from Hucknall in the north to the city centre, and a spur to Phoenix Park. About half of the line runs parallel with the Robin Hood Line railway and there are 4 km of on-street line. 15 modern, quiet, air conditioned trams will provide a fast and frequent service for passengers. The vehicles are 100% low floor, providing easy access for all passengers. A key feature of the system is the integration with buses and rail services along the corridor with buses feeding passengers to tramstops and opportunities to interchange at three railway stations. More details of the project (progress photos, latest publications, maps, etc) can be found on the Nottingham Express Transit website at www.nottinghamexpresstransit.com. |
