The work to be carried out to create NET Line One's off-street stretch, although more intensive, will be less disruptive than the work carried out last year to modify the Robin Hood Line. There are very few times when we need to take possession of the Robin Hood Line, and any that there are will be on Sundays, so train services will be unaffected by the work.

Major works are needed on the David Lane level crossing, where the tram tracks will be set into the road across the junction. Work around the crossing will take place between the 3rd of June and the 12th of July. Temporary closures of the crossing will be required for some of this time. We will publicise details nearer the time.

At this stage there are no plans for any of the off-street works to be carried out at night.

Laying tram tracks on Nottingham's streets began last year, with the first complete stretch finished just before Christmas in Noel Street, Hyson Green. We've now started in the city centre and track laying off-street, alongside the Robin Hood Line and on the spur line from Highbury Vale to Phoenix Park, begins at the end of February.
