Introduction
Routes
Options

A major public consultation exercise was carried out in late 2001/early 2002. Detailed brochures were distributed to thousands of local residents, who were asked for their views on route options. The independent report on their views can be read on the reports page. The web pages created for the consultation have been archived here for reference purposes. The decision on whether to pursue the routes to West Bridgford routes has been deferred, awaiting further reporting on development proposals in Rushcliffe and the Government commissioned A453 and A52 multi-modal studies.

  • Assist in the regeneration of the south side of the inner city area, including the Meadows.
  • Improve transport links for residents to employment opportunities in Clifton and the City.
  • Provide good links to educational facilities, including links between the main Nottingham Trent University sites in Clifton and the City Centre, and to local schools.

linking Nottingham Station, local bus services and Park and Ride.
  • Provide a link to the Crossgate Drive/Electric Avenue (Riverside) commercial areas (Queen's Drive route). OR
