From October
1st 2002 Nottingham City Council will take responsibility for enforcing
a range of parking rules that have, until now, been the responsibility of
Traffic Wardens. There are no new offences and no new no-parking zones but
we will be putting a lot more effort into keeping our streets clear of illegally
parked vehicles. Traffic can then flow more freely, public transport can
keep to timetable, deliveries can get to where they are meant to be on time
and pedestrians can feel safer because they do not find vehicles parked
on the pavement or crossings blocked. |
